Context
E.G.S. LobArt produces carbon-fibre components in series for automotive customers. It runs two facilities with more than 2,300 m² of production space, and works with glass fibre, polyester and Kevlar as well as carbon.
Challenge
- Coordination. A varied mix of composite materials and products needed precise coordination and scheduling.
- Consistent quality. Keeping quality consistent across manufacturing stages required integrated monitoring.
- Late visibility. Without real-time data, bottlenecks were addressed late.
Architecture
- Metalya APS: plans production against resources and demand.
- Metalya Core: monitors activities and results in real time.
- Quality & Process Control: integrated quality checks.
- Metalya Connect: collects data from machines and sensors.
Implementation
Planning and execution share one model. The planned path through production and its real progress can be read together, and quality checks sit within the same flow.
Result
- Coordinated scheduling and real-time monitoring support production throughput.
- Quality control is integrated into the production stages.
- Management decides on current data.
Evidence
These results are qualitative, as described in E.G.S. LobArt’s published case study. No figures are claimed.
